Dear Students, Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to Northcote Intermediate School - the school that is small in size but big in heart. Northcote Intermediate is a co-educational school catering for students in their seventh and eighth years of schooling (Years 7 and 8).

Intermediate Schools are designed to cater for students as they move from Primary School through to Secondary School. Students at this age are going through important physical, social, emotional and academic growth and development, and our school will ensure these years are successful, challenging and enjoyable. 

Our aim at Northcote Intermediate is to ensure all children’s needs are met in a safe and friendly environment. Through a range of exciting and innovative opportunities we encourage students to develop leadership skills, independence and a life-long love of learning. 

Our school is small by Intermediate standards and this enables us to really get to know your child. We deliver quality programmes which promote excellence. We stress the importance of punctuality, neatness, respect and tolerance. 

Our teachers are highly motivated and come from a wide range of backgrounds. We have a good balance of male and female teachers and class sizes are relatively small. 

We believe that education is a partnership between home and school and welcome and encourage parents and caregivers into our school.
