Set on the shores of Lake Karapiro, Finlay Park was converted from farmland to a permanent camp site in 1946. Since then Finlay Park has undergone continual changes and upgrades to its facilities to be the multi purpose campus that it is today.
This will be a major highlight for the year and will provide students with rich learning experiences outside the classroom. Students will develop confidence and resilience and strengthen class bonds with their peers and teachers.

A list of the required gear is available here to allow those who may need to borrow required items. Some of the most important items include a hat and a waterproof mid length raincoat. A spring suit or wetsuit would also be beneficial but is not compulsory.
Students are not permitted to bring lollies to camp, and prohibited items at school are still prohibited at camp; that includes aerosol cans.
Behaviour ExpectationsSensible behaviour at Camp is obviously extremely important. Any behaviour that the Camp Administration considers unacceptable will be dealt with in the following manner:
1. The parents, or the emergency contact of the child concerned, will be called and asked to collect him/her, immediately
2. If neither of the first two contacts called are able to make arrangements to collect the child, arrangements will be made to return the child home and the parents charged expenses
